Work out what a percentage code really saves once the cap kicks in, in any Gulf currency.

## A worked example

A 15% code with a 50 cap: on a 200 basket it saves 30. On a 400 basket it saves 50, not 60, because the cap applies. On a 1,000 basket it still saves 50, which is only 5%. So for a big basket, a bank-card offer or a sale price can beat the code.

## Cashback codes

Some codes (noon’s, for example) pay the saving back as account credit after delivery instead of cutting the total. The calculator shows the same saving, but you only get it later, and only if you keep the order.

The cap is where most “up to 20%” codes stop paying: above a certain basket the percentage no longer grows. The calculator shows that point.
